Welcome to Sheringham & Cromer's
Greener Program Footprints in the Sand Initiative

What is the Greener Program Initiative all about?

It is about a small, local intiative for all of us who live & work in this outstanding area of natural beauty to do everything we can to protect our environment for future generations to come.  That means working in partnership with local businesses and providers of holiday/business accommodation to commit themselves to reducing their
carbon footprint & going green.

WHY?  I am sure that at some point all businesses will need to be accountable for its impact.  Which is why more and more people especially tourists coming to our area are becoming ever more conscious about where they shop, what they purchase, how they travel, who they fly with, the hotels they may stay in and, the tourist, hospitality & leisure industry in general.  You could say that they are becoming more green savvy and will look for those holiday destination providers and businesses who are responsibly promoting themselves as green.

If you are already taking steps to reduce, offsett your carbon footprint - great!

If you are not in this category - I would seriously suggest that you reconsider.

* It is a fantastic new way to promote your business ethically and something to be very proud of.

* In the long-term, doing good & doing well are inextricably linked.

* Better to use your own initiative than be coerced into it by major constraints!

Sheringham & Cromer has now linked up with
NNDC and if you click on the NNDC image it will take you to other relevant pages
